Overview: HB 2185 makes a variety of changes to the alarm regulations passed last year in HB 2748.

Summary: This bill would allow cities and towns to receive information necessary for police officers to responds to alarm calls. It also keeps in place background checks on alarm installers.

02/13/13: HB 2185 passed out of the House Commerce Committee on 2-13-13 by a vote of 6-3. The League signed in support of the measure. The bill now goes on to the House Rules Committee.

03/13/13: HB 2185 passed COW with a sub floor amendment by Fann. It then proceeded to 3rd Read and passed with a vote of 57 ayes and 3 not voting.

03/20/13: HB 2185 passed the Senate Commerce, Energy, and Military Committee with a vote of 5 ayes, 1 nay, and 1 not voting. Senate Rules Committee will be next.
