On June 24, 2014, the League, in partnership with the Arizona City/County Management Association (ACMA) and the Government Finance Officers Association of Arizona (GFOAz) formed a Pension Reform Task Force to examine the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) system. The task force will review all aspects of PSPRS, identify areas for improvement and, if necessary, make recommendations to employers, the PSPRS board and state lawmakers for reform.

PSPRS Phase-in PrePayment Tool
We have updated the Phase-in and Pre-payment spreadsheet tool to include a new feature (Tab 3 - Rate Estimator) designed to help you see the effects of incremental payments toward your unfunded liability and employer rate. Choose who you are from the drop-down menu on the first tab and then enter the incremental amount you want to consider in cell D5 of that third tab. The results will calculate that effect in multiples up to 10. We hope you will find this useful.
