Overview: HB 2254 eliminates the residential rental tax.

League Position: OPPOSE - The League opposes the bill as it is would cost cities and towns over $87 million.

Summary: HB 2254 prohibits municipalities from imposing a residential rental tax and requires those that already have this tax to reduce the rate by 25% each year until the rate is zero.
