The Town of San Tan Valley officially incorporated as Arizona’s newest municipality on September 17, 2025. On that date, the Town’s inaugural seven-member council was appointed. This webpage will serve as the primary source for meeting and notice information until a permanent Town website is established.

Logo Design Competition

The Town of San Tan Valley is hosting a logo design competition to solicit original design concepts for possible use as the Town’s official municipal logo.

Notice of Intent: Consideration of Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT)

Understanding TPT (Sales Tax) Charges on Online and Local Purchases

In response to recent public comments at Council meetings, the Town is providing a brief clarification on how Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) is applied in San Tan Valley. The Town currently does not have a local TPT. TPT is based on physical street addresses, not ZIP codes, and online sellers must charge the tax based on the delivery location. If residents believe they were charged an incorrect tax rate, they may contact the seller for clarification or reach out to the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) for guidance.

Posting Notification

All notices of meetings of the Town Council, its boards, commissions, committees, and subcommittees will be posted in two locations at the Pinal County San Tan Valley Complex, located at 31505 N Schnepf Road, San Tan Valley, AZ 85143:

  1. On the glass facing outward next to the doors of the administration building, which is visibly accessible to the public at all times;
  2. On the bulletin board inside the foyer of the administration building, which is accessible Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding observed holidays.

Each notice will include the date, time, and place of the meeting, along with an agenda or information on how the public may obtain a copy of the agenda.
